Beef
Steaks, Roasts, Ground Beef, and More...
All our cattle are born and raised here on the farm. The cattle in our herd are primarily black Angus, with some other breeds blended in. These include Simmental, Hereford, and Gelbvieh. McAdams Farm cattle graze on grass and eat some supplemental grain. We raise all of our own hay, which is used to feed the cows in the winter.
The beef that we sell has no added hormones and no antibiotics. The meat is processed and packaged under the supervision of a state inspector by Matkins Meat Processing in Caswell County, North Carolina. The beef is then dry aged, cut, and frozen. Special care is taken to preserve the safety and quality of the meat.
McAdams Farm offers a wide assortment of frozen beef. Availability and selection may vary based on supply, but we should generally have the items listed below for sale at the farm and at the Southern Village Farmers' Market.
